SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT ETHIOPIA/SEE.
Is an NGO operating in Ethiopia since 2007 (now in the process of opening offices in somalia and kenya) in the field of Environmental protection and improving human welfare through sustainable means of development.
The organization has it’s head office in Jigjiga (very soon will move to Adddis Ababa), field office (8) in each refugee camp and liaison office in Addis Ababa, currently SEE has employed 82 national staff and 107 incentive workers.
In partnership with UNHCR and RRS, SEE is implementing an environmental protection educational and rehabilitation(EPRER), Energy, Livelihood and Shelter construction projects in refugee camps of Somali region region.
The organization is also implementing greening project in partnership with Somali regional government which makes it one of the national NGOs that secures funds from government.
In addition, SEE has coordinated with CBO, RCC, other concerned partners and governmental line ministers in implementing these projects.

-692 hectares of degraded land were rehabilitated
-3000m3 of check dam constructed across the eight camps
-80 hectares of gum and incense bearing trees were enclosed and protected
-3-Gum and incense business cooperatives were technically and financially supported in Bokolmayo woreda
-Natural resource and customery constitution were activated and endorsed
-About 5.5 million tree seeding were raised
